Former NBA star Lamar Odom took to Instagram to celebrate his daughter Destiny’s 25th birthday with rare photos of his kids.
In the first photo, Destiny is seen walking in her first formal fashion show in a stunning black sequin high-low dress and stiletto heels. She is posing with her famous dad, who is beaming with pride.
The second photo shows Lamar Odom with his two kids, Destiny and Lamar Jr., as they dine outdoors while overlooking the ocean. The former Lakers great captioned the photo, “My FAMILY.”
Lamar Odom’s fans took to the comments section to wish his daughter a happy birthday and to offer their support for the family. Many people commented on how beautiful Destiny is, and others praised Lamar Odom for being a good father.
Lamar Odom’s relationship with his kids has come a long way since he overdosed in Las Vegas in 2015. In a 2019 interview with ABC News, Destiny said that she was the reason her dad eventually entered rehab. She told him that she wouldn’t talk to him anymore unless he got help.
Destiny also said that she had to forgive her dad in order to move on and repair their relationship. She said, “You have to forgive in order to move on. Just for yourself, you have to forgive. I would say every day is a step at a time. Every day is a new struggle, new chapter.”
