Robert De Niro Talks Fatherhood at 79

Robert De Niro is enjoying fatherhood at the age of 79. The actor, who welcomed his seventh child, Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro, in April, opened up about his experience in a recent interview.

“It feels great,” De Niro said on the Today show. “I have a certain awareness now that I didn’t have when I was younger.”

De Niro explained that his age has given him a different perspective on parenting. “You have awareness of certain things in life, dynamics,” he said. “You can’t avoid learning certain things and then how you can deal with those, manage them and this and that.”

De Niro’s longtime friend and fellow actor, Al Pacino, is also expecting a child at an older age. Pacino, who is 83, is expecting his fourth child with girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 29.

De Niro is happy for his friend and fellow father. “Listen, Al Pacino just had a baby,” he said. “He’s a few years older than me. God bless him. Very happy for him.”

De Niro and Pacino have starred in several films together, including The Godfather Part II, The Irishman, and Righteous Kill. They are both considered to be among the greatest actors of all time.

As for setting up future playdates with Pacino’s youngest child, De Niro joked, “Floor play.”

De Niro is looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day with his family. “I’ll be celebrating just simply, with everyone,” he said.

The actor is also open to having more children in the future. “I’m going to have a new one every year,” he joked.

De Niro is a successful actor and father. He is an inspiration to many people, and his story shows that it is never too late to start a family.
