KISS Frontman Paul Stanley Sparks Controversy with Views on Gender Identity in Children

Paul Stanley, the co-founder and lead singer of the 70s band Kiss, known for their extravagant costumes, makeup, and platform shoes, has sparked controversy with his views on gender identity in children. In a post titled “My Thoughts On What I’m Seeing,” Stanley shared his opinion on the difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing gender identity to children. He believes that while some adults may choose gender reassignment later in life, it is not acceptable to confuse young children by encouraging them to question their sexual identity as if it were a game.

Stanley argues that allowing children to participate in activities that may lead them down a path far from their innocence is a dangerous fad that should not be normalized. Rolling Stone criticized Stanley for his lack of understanding and conflating sexuality and gender identity, which are separate developmental processes.
