Taylor Swift released her re-recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7, 2023. The album features 22 songs, including fan favorites “Ours” and “Enchanted.”

The original album was released in 2010 and featured 16 songs. Swift’s re-release includes six additional songs, which she calls “From the Vault.” These songs were not released on the original album, but they were written during the same time period.
In a social media post, Swift said that she was “nostalgic and appreciative” when she recorded the album at age 32. She also said that she was “proud” of the songs she left behind.
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is the third re-recorded album from Swift. She previously re-released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021.
Swift began re-recording her albums in 2019 after her label, Big Machine Records, sold her masters to Scooter Braun. In November 2020, her masters were sold again to Shamrock Holdings.
Swift has said that she is re-recording her albums so that she can own the rights to her music. She has also said that she wants to give her fans the opportunity to hear her songs in the way that she intended them to be heard.
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) has been met with positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Many people have praised Swift for her vocals and for her songwriting. The album has also been a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.
