Comedian Kevin Hart Extortion Suspect Hit With Criminal Charges
A man defaulter of trying to extort Kevin Hart with a surreptitiously recorded video tape has been charged with 2 crimes, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s workplace aforesaid Wednesday.
According to the DA’s workplace, Jonathan Todd Jackson, a/k/a Action Jackson, has been charged with one count every of attempted coercion and extortion by threatening letter.
Jackson faces up to four years in county jail if guilty as charged.
Jackson is defaulter of trying to force Hart to pay him for a video that was surreptitiously recorded last year. consistent with prosecutors, Jackson allegedly had a videotape of Hart with a lady in Las Vegas.
After allegedly trying to tearing an anon cost of cash from Hart between August 25 and August 30, 2017, Jackson then allegedly tried to sell the recording to incalculable celebrity news websites.
Jackson is expected to be arraigned Wednesday. Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $100,000.
